Snowblink - Blue Moon

I can not stress how great this cover of Blue Moon is. It’s just absolutely beautiful.

If you’re a fan of bands like Broken Social Scene, Stars, Feist or any other band from the Arts & Crafts label, then buy this compilation album. It has songs from all(?) of the bands that Arts & Crafts have signed, including some songs that (I think) hadn’t been released before, like Deathcock, which I think I posted a few weeks ago.

But yeah, buy the album.

Vivaldi - Four Seasons

So it’s been 2 years since I first started this blog and, surprisingly, I’ve managed to amass a small group of followers. Now I don’t really understand what a lot of people mean when they say that their follows are their real best friends and they love them etc. because, quite frankly, I don’t really talk to any of you guys and vice versa. But what I really think they mean is that it’s just nice to have some people who take even just a fraction of their time to listen to what you have to say.

I think I started this thing out of bordom and frustration at the fact that no one around me listened to what I listened to. At the beginning I tried to keep a schedule, also trying to find new music and new bands which has developed into a healthy obsession about finding as much as I can about music. But I’m lazy, and sometimes, as many of you know, I wouldn’t post for days on end; one time I didn’t put up new content for a month. But even through all that, most of you decided to stick around, to wait for when I could be bothered again and that’s very flattering. So I hope that we’ll keep growing larger, one follower at a time, and that the rest of you will stay and continue to be patient because I am really freaking lazy.

I don’t really know where I’m going with this because I’m just saying the thoughts that I’m thinking but I guess what I’m trying to say is thank you. Thank you for being bothered to stick around and listen and like what music I put up. Because all I really want is to connect to another person on a less arbitrary level than ‘we go to the same school’ or ‘we’re from the same city’. To connect to someone who I’d probably never even meet in person, but who I would have a bond with that transcends geographical location. To be intertwined with another human being on a deeper emotional level through music and song.

So I picked this song because I think it reflects the passage of time and really makes a statement about…

Ah whatever, you know what I’m trying to say.

Funfact 1: I timed this so that this would also be the 500th post

Funfact 2: I accidentally deleted the original post and didn’t have it saved anywhere so I had to write it all again from memory
